Abstract

This paper presents the advances and characteristics of air defense systems technically. The information is derived from a systematic review of technical databases dealing exclusively with military defense against airborne threats. Many advances have been developed in which Artificial Intelligence AI already plays a fundamental role, in some cases enabling decisions to be made with a greater probability of success and precision than with decisions and the speed of human reactions.
