Ethical considerations in publishing content

Athenea Revista en Ciencias de la Ingeniería is committed to the execution of an exhaustive and rigorous peer review process that guarantees the publication of relevant scientific material in the fields associated with the scope and objectives of the journal. Therefore, AutanaBooks, as a publishing house, maintains a zero-tolerance policy with those works that have falsified data, inappropriate authorship, or plagiarism, among other similar aspects. If fraud is proven, they will be immediately removed from the platform. Furthermore, to verify the originality of the materials and contents sent to Athenea, AutanaBooks uses the anti-plagiarism system of Microsoft Word, among other anti-plagiarism systems.

License terms

The articles published in the Athenea Scientific Journal are governed by the CC-BY license, whose terms include the following:

Attribution: You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if any changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable way but not in any way that suggests that the licensor endorses you or your use.

No Additional Restrictions: You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license allows.

In short, the CC-BY license grants the right to access the work free of charge and immediately, allowing any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles. In addition, the papers can be crawled for indexing, used as data for software, or for any other legal purpose.

Permissions

Documents or materials under the Creative Commons BY-CC license don't require special permission to reuse all or part of the article published by Athenea, including figures and tables. In the case of articles published under the Creative Common CC-BY open access license, any part of the article may be reused without permission, provided the original article is acknowledged and cited. Furthermore, reusing documents and materials of a particular article does not imply endorsement by the journal or the authors.

Statement of Exceptions

Materials such as figures, appendices, tables, or similar may be taken from other publications. Athenea does not own any rights to such materials or documents and, therefore, cannot license them in any way. Anyone wishing to use such materials should consult with the original authors.

Copyright

According to the license adopted by the journal (BY), authors retain the authorship of their works and their names and works must be cited appropriately whenever they are used partially or completely by other researchers, professionals among others interested in the approaches of the author's work, or of the authors.
